Context

Knowing the Dimensions of a Piece of Furniture is Essential

Ensuring a furniture piece fits their space is crucial for shoppers prior to making a purchase. Home furnishing retailers need to effectively and clearly communicate this information to their customers.

Problem

Seamlessly Incorporating Dimensions into an Image is Difficult

Incorporating measurements into an image is a time consuming and tedious process that requires proficiency in photo editing software and access to such tools. No applications exist for seamlessly incorporating dimensions into an image of a furniture piece. An opportunity exists to bridge this gap by offering retailers and manufacturers an intuitive application capable of effortlessly and seamlessly adding measurements to images of their inventory.

The Aperture Platform subscription provides manufacturers and retailers of furniture automated studio hardware, AI, and cloud-based intuitive software to quickly and cost-effectively capture their products and output flawless, repurposable images for use in any promotion or marketing channel.

We then gathered valuable customer insights and feedback by presenting the dimension marker prototype to three sets of customers, allowing us to validate our assumptions and gain further insights from their thoughts and perspectives.
